Q. WhAT are D.A.’s newest releases?
A: My 2021 releases include PIRATE QUEST and PIRATE LEGEND. The popular CHRONICLE OF BARTY ROBERTS series has come to its conclusion. This is a YA-Historical/Fantasy trilogy.
Another release was DRAGON RESTORATION. This is the first of seven books in the LAST DRAGON GUARDIANS saga. This is a Fantasy-Epic/High genre series.

Q. Tell me about the Chronicles of Barty Roberts series.
A: I love pirates! What can I say? I was hooked from the very first Pirates of the Caribbean movie and watched all five of them several times! My husband shakes his head when he sees me watching one of the moves for the hundredth time. Barty came from my imagination of a boy who could time travel back to the days of the Golden Age of Piracy. Solving a terrible curse was added to give him a quest or mission to solve. I added historical information to give it a real flavor of actually being in that era!
Q. are you going to write more ya-historical/fantasy?
A: There will be two novella's as follow-ons to The Chronicles of Barty Roberts. The first will be the story of Barty's grandfather and uncle, the two people he admired the most and their adventures of refurbishing the Maris Stella, and discovering time travel aboard her.
The second book will follow the adventures of Caitlyn, Barty's sister, and his cousin, Emilia, as they tangle with some badass female pirates, including Ann Bonney and Mary Read. They also made a promise to a notorious pirate in their last adventures with Barty and must keep their word.
Q. where do you get your ideas?
A: I'm a coverholic. What is that you ask? I follow a lot of cover designers and when I see one that inspires me, I buy it. Then, the story comes from what the cover is saying to me. Sounds weird, but it's true. 😉
Q. how do you decide which stories to write?
A: I would love to be able to write twenty-five books in a year, but that's not possible...yet. Right now, I wanted to finish the Barty Roberts trilogy but at the same time, I would love to write all seven books in the dragon series. The Sorceress Academy is a great story and that one may take precedence over the others! So many stories to write, so little time!
Q. Are D.A.’s books going to be available as paperbacks/Hard Cover Books?
Yes, as the ebooks sell, paperbacks (for sure) and hard cover versions will also become available. You will be able to find them in bookstores and, of course, also on Amazon. Eventually, I will branch out to Apple, B&N, etc.
Q. Are D.A.'s books going to be available as audiobooks?
Yes! As the ebooks, paperbacks/hard cover books sell, audiobooks will be released.
Q. why can't I buy D.A.’s ebooks from any other platform such as ibooks, kobo, nook?
D.A. has an exclusive ebook contract with Amazon. For that reason, she’s not allowed to publish her ebooks on any other platform. If you don't have a Kindle, you can download the Kindle app from Amazon onto any device. The good news is that the app is free!

A: Just write! You learn as you go. Find author groups, pick up great tips and put them in place. You won't know everything in the beginning, but it does get easier!
