What a cute and fun adventure read for young adults. Moves at a nice pace with plenty of action to keep everyone engaged. If you have a young adult who loves to read, they are going to enjoy this.

I really liked the sense of adventure this book has. I get transported into a kids world of pirates and thieves. It was a really good pace and I could definitely see this as a movie for kids. It was very descriptive.

The Characters

Prologue

The vast, wooden pirate ship gently swayed back and forth. I had never been on a ship, much less a wooden one. I couldn’t have asked for better conditions on the open sea with my Uncle Peter, or ‘Captain Pete’ as we called him, when we were underway. What was that nautical saying? Fair weather and following seas. Playful dolphins accompanied us on the starboard and port sides of the ship, enjoying the draft.
